Hi, my name is Else and I am an animal welfare scientist specializing in behaviour, physiology, anxiety and stress.
I’ve spent more than 15 years in the lab researching animals, and I believe that being a scientist is the most thrilling profession in the world.
But I’m aware that it can take years, if not decades, for research to reach the people who need it most (that’s you:)).
On top of that, there is a lot of outdated and misleading information out there. For example, some would have you believe that showing a dog leadership and having the right energy will solve all behavioural problems.

My mission as a scientist is to help dogs feel good and be happy. To achieve that, I publish my research in peer-reviewed scientific journals, see here. However, I also create evidence-based articles for this website in order to educate dog owners and experts who deal with behavioural issues on a daily basis.
